Comments and feedback from law enforcement agencies:
Blaine Police Department – a conversation with Chief Michael Haslip is like a SECTOR advertisement. He expressed that SECTOR has shortened traffic stops, made it safer for his officers, and is better for the driver and the court clerks that don’t want to see any more manual tickets!
Spokane Police Department – upon completion of the survey SECTOR assessment survey they expressed a need for specific equipment. With just a transfer of the call to Nancy Morris, she determined they were eligible for WTSC funded equipment and she sent off the equipment. They were very surprised and happy with the service!
Napavine Police Department – the call to Napavine PD introduced us to the new chief there. Napavine had not had a chief for 6 years. They had 4 sets of equipment there but it was unused. He expressed challenges with getting his officers to training because of budget issues. He asked for help. The call was transferred over to Nancy who notified him of his closest training. Chief Chris Salyers has told his officers that he will not be purchasing any more paper tickets!
Toledo Police Department – the chief referred us to the officer in charge of SECTOR. In talking to Officer Patrick and getting the survey question answered, he expressed a need for SECTOR on his motorcycle. He had been on motor duty the entire previous week and recognized the need for it. The call was transferred over to Nancy and she found that they were eligible for the equipment! He said it felt like Christmas!
Newcastle Police Department – while conducting the survey on the phone with Chief Melinda Irvine, she expressed a need for more equipment. I mentioned that they might be eligible for more. We transferred the call to Nancy and she filled their order. They were surprised and pleased.
